Axxam at AChemS 2025 – Advancing Chemosensory Science

Axxam is excited to participate in AChemS 2025, the premier conference dedicated to chemosensory science, where experts in taste, smell, and chemical signaling come together to share cutting-edge research. This event serves as a crucial platform for discussing the latest discoveries in olfaction, gustation, and chemosensory mechanisms, shaping future applications in drug discovery, nutrition, and consumer health.

Sara Santangelo, AXXSense BD Manager, and Marcel Winning, AXXSense Scientific Officer & Team Leader AXXSense will be there.

Marcel will present  a poster:

🍀“Identification of Novel TAS2R4 Agonists by Screening of a Natural Compound Library.”

This study focuses on the discovery of new agonists for the TAS2R4 bitter taste receptor, using high-throughput screening of natural compounds to identify potential modulators. Bitter taste receptors play a crucial role not only in taste perception but also in gut physiology, metabolic regulation, and therapeutic applications. Understanding and targeting these receptors could lead to advancements in drug development, functional foods, and health-related innovations.

At Axxam, we specialize in chemosensory receptor research, leveraging our expertise in cell-based assays, screening technologies, and compound profiling to explore novel taste modulators. Our work supports industries looking to develop better-tasting pharmaceuticals, flavor-enhancing ingredients, and bioactive compounds that interact with taste receptors in meaningful ways.

By attending AChemS, we aim to exchange knowledge with fellow researchers, explore emerging trends in chemosensory science, and strengthen collaborations that drive innovation. If you’re attending, don’t miss the chance to connect with our team and discuss how our expertise in chemosensing receptors can support your research and development efforts.

Stay tuned for updates from the conference, and follow us to learn more about how Axxam is shaping the future of chemosensory research!
