Meet the speakers
Beatrice Bellanti – Quality Assurance Manager
Marco Ballabio –Head of IT , Axxam
Beatrice Bellanti holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Milan, with a strong background in molecular and cellular pharmacology. She began her career in 1997 at Bayer Research Italy and joined Axxam in 2001.
At Axxam, Beatrice worked on the development of biochemical and cellular assays before moving into quality management. In 2006, she became Quality Assurance Manager and led the implementation of a voluntary GLP-like Quality Management System. This system initially supported laboratory activities and later expanded to include the entire company.
Today, Beatrice is responsible for Axxam’s ISO-integrated system. She manages quality, information security, and occupational health and safety across the organization, supporting ongoing certification to ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Marco Ballabio is Head of IT at Axxam, where he leads the company’s digital transformation and cybersecurity strategy.
With a strong background in information systems, compliance and cyber security, he has been instrumental in aligning IT governance with Axxam’s ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications, ensuring that technology continuously supports scientific innovation and data protection.
His focus on zero trust principles and intelligent automation helps maintain a secure, efficient, and forward-looking digital environment.
