Ciriaco Maraschiello joined Axxam in July 2023 as Chief Operating Officer bringing more than 25 years of industry experience within the Contract Research Organization business segment. Ciriaco started his career within the pharmaceutical business in 1997 after completing a PhD in Biochemistry within the framework of a Marie Curie EU fellowship. He has a strong background in ADME, preclinical safety assessment and formulation and obtained an executive MBA in 2017 from the Bocconi University (Milan, Italy). During his professional tenure, Ciriaco occupied several scientific and leadership/managerial positions within the pharmaceutical R&D value stream. As an executive, he held global operational roles leading large international teams across Europe and Asia in Cidasal (ES), RCC (CH), Harlan (US), Aptuit (US) and Evotec (DE). His leadership is characterized by a strong focus on people and value creation.

Beatrice Bellanti graduated in Biological Sciences at Milano University and has a background in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology.From 1997 she worked at Bayer Research, Italy and joined Axxam in 2001, where she worked on the development of biochemical and cellular assays in the Biochemistry and Cell Biology groups. In 2006 she became Quality Assurance Manager in Axxam and oversaw the implementation of a voluntary GLP-like Quality Management System, initially concerning experimental activities in laboratories and later extending this system to the whole company. She is now responsible for managing quality and information security following Axxam obtaining the ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications.
