Mauro Dionisi

Mauro Dionisi, PhD, is a PRINCE2‑certified Project and Portfolio Management leader with more than 15 years’ experience across the pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries, spanning discovery, development, and R&D operations. He currently serves as Director of the Project & Portfolio Management Office at Axxam. In this role, he leads a multidisciplinary team and manages portfolio governance, resource planning, revenue forecasting, and strategic transformation initiatives.

Previously, Mauro held senior positions at Evotec, where he oversaw the global Integrated Drug Discovery portfolio and led Italian Discovery Project Management operations. His background includes roles in project portfolio analysis, product development, and project leadership across leading biotech organizations. Mauro earned a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies from the University of Padua.
