Advancing complement therapeutics: Axxam's poster presentation

Axxam is proud to participate in the Antibodies and Complement 2025 conference, a premier event uniting experts in immunology, antibody research, and complement system therapeutics. Held at the Sheraton Hotel Catania in Sicily, this conference offers a platform for sharing groundbreaking research and fostering collaborations.

Our team will present a poster titled:

“Identification of Novel C3 Convertase Inhibitors Through High-Throughput Screening Using an Integrated Platform of Functional and Binding Assays”

This study highlights our innovative approach to discovering small-molecule inhibitors targeting the C3 convertase, a pivotal enzyme in the complement cascade. Utilizing a combination of functional assays and binding studies, we’ve identified promising candidates that may lead to new therapeutic avenues for complement-mediated diseases.

About the conference

The Antibodies and Complement 2025 conference, scheduled for May 26–30, 2025, focuses on the interplay between B cells, antibodies, and the complement system in health and disease. Key topics include:

  • Mechanisms of antibody and complement function

  • Therapeutic interventions targeting the complement system

  • Advancements in vaccine development

  • Autoimmunity, inflammation, and cancer.

The conference features plenary lectures, oral presentations, and poster sessions, providing attendees with insights into the latest research and developments in the field.
