Recombinant Target Proteins
Biochemical assays can be developed starting from in-house purified proteins, target proteins provided by clients or
commercially available ones. Clients can rely on our expertise in producing cytosolic, secreted, and transmembrane proteins using the main expression hosts:
- Bacterial cells
- Insect cells with the baculovirus system
- Mammalian cells grown in suspension at high density
Expression of full-length enzymes including all ancillary regulatory domains is a key priority to retain the orthosteric and
allosteric sites for physiological and potential modulators. Indeed, recombinant protein expression can support the heterologous
production for HTS of high-molecular weight targets, including heteromultimeric protein complexes.
